Opened around ten years after the Farinet footbridge, the Via Farinetta is the first via ferrata in Valais to link the plains and the mountains. It is a very well-equipped route offering 3 to 4 hours of escape.
Equipped with a helmet and harness, set off on the first via ferrata in the Valais lowlands. The Via Farinetta guides you along the vertical walls of the Salentse Gorge. The route is divided into three sections of increasing difficulty. It is possible to leave the via ferrata after each section, with the last section reserved for experienced climbers.
The Saillon Tourist Office rents out via ferrata kits under certain conditions (minimum age 16).
