VerticAlp – Emosson

A breathtaking journey at the start of the Châtelard right to the top of the Emosson dam.

The adventure starts with one of the fastest funicular railways in the world with the little panoramic train following the mountainside. The climb finishes with the Minifunic which takes passengers to the top of the dam, the second largest in Switzerland.

Emosson is also called the Mont Blanc balcony as its panmoramic view of the biggest mountain in Europe leaves its admirers speechless. It is also the start of numerous walks, including one which follows the famous tracks of Ancient-Emosson’s dinosaurs.
