Épicentre Martigny

Epicentre, previously called the Martigny Leisure and Culture Centre, is conducive to discoveries and encounters. For 40 years, the promotion of the quality of life and the reinforcement of social cohesion have been the institution’s principal missions and priorities.

The sociocultural organisation team is set up in the centre of the Villa (children’s workshops and activities, reception of teens, a Pensioners Passport, …) and in areas of the town (Animate your area, the Spot, 5 Continents festival,…) ideal places for meeting people. These projects encourage creativity, living together and accentuate social diversity.

At the same time, the sociocultural organisation team accompanies children and youngsters in active projects throughout the year. These places for discussion enable them to be involved with others, to express themselves, take decisions within a group and acquire technical and social competences. This approach stimulates their autonomy and helps them to liberate themselves.

Close by educators are present in public places and offer educative support by establishing relationships of confidence with those in fragile situations. This support enables children, youngsters and families to find confidence in themselves and in their competernce again.

Regarding structure, the Villa des Vorziers also offers the public the opportunity to hire rooms for events.
