From February 13 to April 11, discover Histoires climatiques du Valais by Laura Ferrarello at the Médiathèque in Martigny (opening February 12 at 6:00 pm).
Histoires climatiques du Valais offers a new approach to climate issues through accessible visual storytelling. Drawing on scientific data (reports, conferences, interviews) and archives from the Médiathèque Valais – Martigny, the exhibition explores the adaptations of Alpine landscapes and populations to climatic transformations, from yesterday to today.
Knowledge is translated into images generated by artificial intelligence (GenAI), where data serve as “prompts” displayed with their sources. Between contemporary science and heritage, this immersion reveals the mechanisms by which the Valais region is adapting to climate change, while also questioning the environmental limits of digital technologies.
Opening on February 12 at 6:00 pm.
