The Great St Bernard Hospice is a religious hostel that has been in existence for almost a thousand years. Accessible from 15 October to the end of May by ski touring or snowshoes only, it offers dormitories or shared rooms, and in summer the hospice’s inn also offers double rooms.

Facilites
Food
- Please inform us at least 24 hours in advance of any special dietary requirements.
- Guests on a gluten-free diet are requested to bring their own bread.
- We are unable to cater for vegan requirements (vegetarian only).
Showers/WC
- Toilets and showers are shared and located on each floor.
- Please bring your own towels.
Accommodation
- All our dormitories and rooms are potentially shared with other guests (except for families with young children).
- In summer, if you would like a private room, please make a reservation at the Auberge de l’Hospice: www.aubergehospice.ch
Dormitories
- All our dormitories are equipped with pillows, fitted sheets and blankets. A hygiene bag is compulsory in the dormitories.
- These can be purchased at reception.
- There are dormitories with 8/9/14/16/17 beds. The allocation of dormitories is not optional. Where possible, we try to group all members of a group together in the same dormitory.
Rooms
- All our rooms are equipped with freshly washed pillows, fitted sheets and blankets. You do not need a hygiene bag in a room.
- There are rooms with 2/3/4 beds. Room allocation is not optional.
Cancellation
- Cancellations/changes to bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance. For cancellations made in good time, we do not charge

Animals
Animals are not permitted anywhere in the Hospice. In summer, if you wish to bring your dog, you can make a reservation at the Auberge de l’Hospice: www.aubergehospice.ch
WLAN
The WLAN network is limited in the hospice. WLAN signal reception is only guaranteed around the 2nd floor.
