From October 30 to December 18, Galerie la Belle Toile welcomes Christian Bader's exhibition "Melting Pot".
The exhibition presents the work of Christian Bader, a self-taught artist born in 1960. After a youth marked by hardship, he discovered painting and sculpture in 2007 and has devoted himself tirelessly to them ever since. His works explore the spontaneity of gesture and the richness of materials – acrylic, oil, pastel, clay or bronze – in a quest for free, instinctive expression.
Surfaces accumulate and fragment, revealing a plurality of shapes and colors where light and darkness mingle. Inspired by the Cobra movement, art brut and figures such as Van Gogh, Munch, Giacometti and Basquiat, his work is part of an intimate quest: that of finding harmony between being and the act of creation. The exhibition invites visitors to enter an inner world where emotion takes precedence over demonstration, leaving everyone free to recognize art in it.
