Join us on Friday 31st at the Fondation P. Gianadda for a concert by the orchestra "Les Passions de l'Âme" at 7:30 pm.
Founded in Berne in 2008 by violinist Meret Lüthi, “Les Passions de l’Âme” has established itself as one of Switzerland’s most renowned baroque orchestras. Bringing together musicians who are specialists in historically informed practice, and who are also involved in internationally renowned ensembles and higher education, the ensemble stands out for its inventive and audacious programming. Inspired by René Descartes’ essay “Les Passions de l’Âme”, the artists seek to awaken the emotion at the heart of each performance.
The Bewitched program takes the listener into a world of spells and passions, to the heart of Armide’s imaginary forest and Rinaldo’s inner turmoil. Between magic and torment, the pages of Handel and Geminiani sculpt a vibrant musical journey, where love and duty, wonder and intensity intertwine.
