Join us on Wednesday May 20 at the Fondation Pierre Gianadda for the closing concert, featuring the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne and violinist Renaud Capuçon.
The magical, enchanting tones of the Stradivarius “Le Panette” will resound when Renaud Capuçon, artistic director of the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne since the 2021-2022 season, plays the solo part while conducting the ensemble.
The program will feature Robert Schumann’s Concerto for Violin and Orchestra, a work imbued with profound sensitivity and inspired by the playing of the young Joseph Joachim, as well as Beethoven’s 7ᵉ Symphony, celebrated by Wagner as the “Apotheosis of the Dance”.
