Fondation Louis Moret : Ariane Monod [EN]

From October 26 to December 7, the Fondation Louis Moret hosts an exhibition by Ariane Monod.

“This autumn, the abstract and evocative art of Ariane Monod invites itself, for the first time, to the Fondation Louis Moret through a selec on of recent works and a vast drawing. Her lyrical force invites us into an exhibition that is both immersive and introspective.”

“Ariane Monod’s mural and painted work is punctuated by the void, as conceived by Chinese aesthetic thought.

In her art, the void is not something non-existent, but a dynamic element, a place of transformation and transition. It’s a suspended moment, like when one of lightning and thunder as we wait for the light to break, or when we observe the hypnotic clouds as you anticipate a storm.

During these moments of flottement, both visual and emotional, the body shudders and the mind flies free.

Is this also the basis of abstrac on? To mark a suspension in reality and achieve a form of deliverance?
