Françoise Gross was born in 1953 in Geneva. She studied one year at the Beaux-Arts, before starting a training as decorator. For 10 years she worked as a freelance decorator in the canton of Valais. She then returned to Geneva where she gave courses and workshops in her studio in Carouge to develop her creativity through various painting techniques. At the same time she works as a painter and participates in numerous individual and group exhibitions.
Back in Valais in 1998, she has the opportunity to acquire a workshop in the industrial zone of Salvan where she develops a more commercial sector by proposing signs, signs for chalets, and decorative painting. She is an active member of the Association des Métiers d’Art et Artisanat du Valais until 2019. Now retired, she devotes herself exclusively to painting.
