Eastern Europe has a rich musical culture, from the great composers of classical music to its folklore. Each country abounds in nuggets that are little-known in our Western countries.
When he travels, Yves Moulin likes to discover the music of the countries he visits and take a few back in his bag to incorporate into his repertoire. As a lover of Eastern Europe, he was inspired to create a show based on anecdotes from his travels there.
Visit Belarus and its bitter cold, Ukraine and its vast plains, the Czech Republic and its classic composer Smetana, Poland and its wild folklore.
YVES MOULIN
Yves Moulin is a Swiss concert accordionist.
His aim is to distance himself from the simplistic vision of the “closed” musical universe that is wrongly attributed to the accordion.
Yves Moulin has brought the accordion, often too closely associated with mountain folklore or bal musette, up to date. His interpretation transports the soul, and his music becomes prayer.
While Yves Moulin’s music is marked by a professional and classical training of the highest level, acquired from renowned personalities in the world of accordion, it is then largely completed and influenced by his various travels and the stages of his life.
