Adrien Rupp’s “Simone sans autre” invites us to rediscover the flavor of simple things through the portrait of a colorful Valaisan grandmother. A country seamstress, “Simone” echoes her “uh”, “rooh” and “mais nooon” with disarming honesty. Between humor and emotion, this story explores often-forgotten values: kindness, simplicity and caring for others.

Winner of the City of Lausanne’s literary creation grant, this sensitive project published by La Veilleuse is captivating in its tenderness and humanity.
