This accessible road cycling route is full of charm and takes you through vineyards and orchards in central Valais.
If you are looking for a varied route of average difficulty, choose this one! A little warm-up for your legs on the flat to Charrat to gently get you going before starting on a series of small humps on the left bank, in the middle of the Charrat vineyards and orchards, via Saxon. At Riddes, transfer to the right bank and cross through the impressive Saint-Pierre-de-Clages vineyards to Chamoson. A little descent to Leytron and off you go on an ascent to the pretty little village of Produit, still in the middle of the vineyards. Take a break to gaze upon the view over the Rhone valley and then, back in the saddle for a little descent which is a bit uneven (be on the lookout!) You will reach Saillon and its medieval village, and return to Martigny via the villages in the municipality of Fully.
