The Young Archaeologists Association in Martigny is hosting the exhibition “Martigny and the Surrounding Region Before the Romans.”

This exhibition offers an immersive journey into the region’s earliest periods through a selection of archaeological artifacts from Fully, Riddes, Saxon, and Martigny, among other sites. It sheds light on the daily lives of prehistoric peoples, from their earliest tools to their ways of life.

Designed to be educational and accessible to all, the exhibition features illustrations of iconic artifacts from the Neolithic, Bronze, and Iron Ages, as well as reenactments that provide a better understanding of the landscapes and practices of the time.

The opening reception will feature various activities: an archaeologyworkshop with archaeologist Ophélie Magnani (HerboNomade), historical reenactments presented by the Seduni and Viveskes associations, a guided tour, and a social gathering featuring a Celtic-inspired snack.
