Moulin Semblanet & Les Trois Couronnes: “Roc Statera” par Jean-Paul Gobet [EN]

Discover photographic reproductions of Jean-Paul Gobet's works from April 1 to June 14, 2025 in Martigny.

Jean-Paul Gobet likes to devote his time to the art of Stone Balancing. It was in 2012, during his walks in the forests, along the lakes or rivers of the Jura, that he tried his hand at juxtaposing beautiful stones, found on the spot. Soon, thanks to his dexterity and mastery of gravity, he was able to create spectacular sculptures, revealing the unique entities of the places he visited, rich in natural treasures.

“Roc Statera” (from the Latin “Statera” meaning static, balance, equilibrium) is the perfect definition of the creative flow expressed by the artist in total immersion with nature.

During his creations, JPeg feels absorbed by the stone: it speaks, vibrates, takes hold of his whole being. More than just a hobby, this art of balancing rocks provides him with particularly beneficial moments of letting go and zenitude.

Her work is on show in Martigny:

April 1 to May 31 2025: at the café-restaurant Les Trois Couronnes
