Join us on April 23 at 6:00 pm for the opening of Marie Giovanola's new exhibition "Retours d'exil" at the Médiathèque de Martigny.

Four years ago, Marie Giovanola became involved as a volunteer with organizations helping people in exile, first in Thessaloniki, Greece, then in Calais, northern France.

Today, microphone and telephone in hand, she meets up with those whose paths she has crossed. These exchanges give rise to stories, then a podcast broadcast by RTS; at the Médiathèque Valais – Martigny, for the first time, she adds images to the sounds. Between personal testimony and journalistic investigation, a voice is lent to those who have none. The whole takes on human form, beyond statistical reductions.
