An exhibition by artist Pierre Leguillon for the Son Biennale at the Manoir de la Ville in Martigny.
Inspired by a Marcel Duchamp formula, the Musée des Erreurs’ musical section houses modest printed objects – postcards, posters, magazine pages, film stills, ephemera – which Pierre Leguillon sets against works from prestigious collections, from the Centre Pompidou to the Musée du Son. Each room evokes a type of Western museum – painting, folk art, design or even a menagerie – composing a free “score” of cultural objects.
Between misappropriations and reinterpretations, Erratum musical questions our perceptions of art and music, giving voice to unexpected sources: non-instrumental objects, animal sounds, or irreverent rereadings of famous scores.
