Maison des Jeunes Archéologues : Vernissage MY Région avant les romains [EN]

The Maison des Jeunes Archéologues in Martigny will be hosting the opening of the "Martigny Région avant les Romains" exhibition on Saturday May 9 from 4pm.

This exhibition immerses visitors in the region’s earliest periods, through a selection of archaeological objects from Fully, Riddes, Saxon and Martigny. It sheds light on the daily lives of prehistoric populations, from their first tools to their way of life.

Designed to be educational and accessible to all, the tour features illustrations of emblematic objects from the Neolithic, Bronze and Iron Ages, as well as reconstructions to give a better understanding of the landscapes and practices of the period.

The opening will be punctuated by a variety of activities: an archaeology workshop with archaeologist Ophélie Magnani (HerboNomade), historical re-enactments by the Seduni and Viveskes associations, a guided tour and a Celtic-inspired snack.

Venue: Maison des Jeunes Archéologues, Rue du Simplon 10, 1920 Martigny
