L. Van Beethoven Concert: The Trio Niva will perform on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. at the Salle de la Maison de la Musique in Martigny.

Formed in 2024 by young artists from Swiss music conservatories, the Trio Niva features Thaïs Louvert on violin, Cyprien Lengagne on cello, and Norina Hirschi on piano. The ensemble has received numerous awards, including the 2025 Kiwanis Prize and the 2026 Giulio Rospigliosi Chamber Music Competition, and is currently continuing its training with Patrick Jüdt at the Bern University of the Arts.

The program will feature three works with contrasting styles: Ludwig van Beethoven’s famous “Trio of the Spirits,” the contemporary piece “Fremde Szene III” by Wolfgang Rihm, and Trio No. 2 “Caprice” by Paul Juon, a Russian composer of Graubünden origin.

An evening dedicated to the virtuosity, intensity, and expressive richness of chamber music.
