Saturday, November 21, at 9:30 a.m. – “Kamishibai Stories” workshop with Maud Roegiers at the Librairie du Baobab.

In Maud Roegiers’ notebooks, drawings have always taken precedence over writing.

Originally from Andenne, this illustrator explored various artistic fields—from fashion design to special effects makeup—before devoting herself to graphic design and illustration. Specializing in children’s illustration in all its forms, she has illustrated a dozen children’s picture books. She is also the co-founder and designer of the furniture brand Elysta.

Her work incorporates various techniques: gouache, pencil, collage, acrylic, and digital tools.

On Saturday, November 21, at 9:30 a.m., a workshop titled “Kamishibai Stories” will be held. Two or three short stories will be told using a kamishibai, a traditional Japanese picture-story theater.

Registration is required at the bookstore.

Fees: 15 CHF per child and 18 CHF per adult.
