A lasting friendship has developed between the Valais and Kyrgyzstan, two mountainous regions often separated by their relief. In this context, the similarity of Kyrgyz landscapes to those of the Valais is highlighted by Pierre-Armand Dussex’s photographs, which combine a documentary approach with an aesthetic quest. For over twenty years, a rich local network has been woven in Kyrgyzstan, enabling experiences and discoveries to be shared during themed events. The Boule de neige association, created by these enthusiasts, works to develop snow sports for young Kyrgyz, supported by a group of friends who share their images and travel stories, thus strengthening the cultural and human links between these territories.
On Saturday 11th, there will be a screening of the documentary film “Les voyages Extraordinaires d’Ella Maillart”, followed by a conference in the presence of Raphaël Blanc, the director.
Meet at 7pm at the Grange à Emile, Martigny-Bourg.
