From November 5 to December 17, the La Belle Toile gallery in Martigny-Bourg will host two artistic worlds united by material, light, and emotion.
The Watercolors of Michèle Fiora
Born in Aime, Savoie, in 1952, Michèle Fiora has lived in Salvan since 1973. Passionate about painting since childhood, she first devoted herself to gouache, before exploring porcelain painting and then oil painting.
Over the years, she has shown her work in several exhibitions, notably in Salvan and Martigny. After studying under Pierre-Alain Corthay for three years, she now focuses on watercolor.
Her work is primarily inspired by natural elements, particularly water and the sky. Variations in light and the intensity of colors play a central role in her compositions.
The Works of Isabelle Corthay – Isart
A Swiss painter and sculptor born in 1967, Isabelle Corthay invites viewers on an inner journey, where the visible dialogs with the invisible.
Her artistic approach explores the relationship between material, light, and emotion. Thoroughly worked, the material bears the scars of time, while light opens up a space of hope.
Since 2015, she has been creating bronze sculptures using the lost-wax technique. Her works explore the human condition, constraints, and the quest for freedom, within a delicate tension between strength and delicacy.
“Light transforms… matter remembers…”
These two exhibitions bring together watercolors and sculptures, united by a shared sensitivity to light, natural elements, and the emotions they evoke.
Opening reception with the artists in attendance: Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
