Join us on September 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Pierre Gianadda Foundation for a tribute evening celebrating the 100th anniversary of Rainer Maria Rilke’s death.
To mark the 100th anniversary of Rainer Maria Rilke’s death, the Rodin Museum in Paris is hosting a special event centered on “Rodin According to Rilke.”
A theatrical reading titled “Rainer Maria Rilke—A European Correspondence: Letters and Poems 1897–1926” will be presented, with texts curated and performed by Jean-Paul Schintu, actor and director. Music by Handel, Liszt, Grieg, and Schubert will be performed by pianist Lionel Monnet.
The tribute evening begins at 6:30 p.m. and lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes. Jean-Paul Schintu, renowned for his readings and productions based on major literary works, offers a sensitive and passionate interpretation, bringing the writers’ voices to life and revealing the poetic power of the texts. Lionel Monnet, a Swiss pianist, is acclaimed for the quality of his performances and his dedication to chamber music, combining musical excellence, outreach, and creativity.

The gardens are open to the public from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., as a prelude to the lecture.
