“My imagination is my way of expressing the profound things I have to say,” writes Khatia Buniatishvili. The “piano diva,” celebrated for her fiery temperament and velvety touch, will open the Pierre Gianadda Foundation’s 49th musical season with an intense and contrasting recital, giving free rein to her imagination. “We do what we love, and clearly that breaks the mold!”

From Schumann’s Fantasy to the poetic flights of Franz Liszt’s Mephisto Waltz, the great artist tells the story of her favorite composers— Bach, Schubert, Chopin, and Satie —through a selection of inspired masterpieces that highlight creativity and artistry.
