The Foire du Valais parade will begin on Saturday, October 3, at 1:45 p.m. The parade will start in front of the Martigny Post Office (Avenue de la Gare).

A legendary highlight of the Foire du Valais, the parade had been removed from the program before making its return in 2025, following a long absence. This highly anticipated return has revived one of the fair’s most beautiful folk traditions.

Confirming its place on the program for this 66th edition, the parade once again invites the public to enjoy a festive moment in the heart of Martigny on Saturday, October 3. Marching bands, folk groups, traditional costumes, entertainment, and surprises will set the tone for this popular parade, which is free and open to everyone.

The guest municipalities for this year’s event—Brig-Glis and Port-Valais—will also take part in the parade to unite the entire Valais region and bring their unique identities, colors, and energy to this festive occasion, in keeping with the Foire du Valais’s spirit of unity.
