Summer exhibition
The Pierre Gianadda Foundation presents a retrospective of the French painter Gustave Caillebotte (1848-1894). With around one hundred paintings from European museums and private collections, this exhibition highlights the impressionist work of this artist who died too soon at the age of 46. With talent, Caillebotte invites us to discover his urban landscapes, such as the famous Pont de l’Europe (1876), the world of work such as the emblematic painting The Floor Scrapers (1875), the banks of the Seine, interior scenes, still lifes, portraits and flowers with a palette full of nuances and bathed in a soft light. © David Cueco
