Caves du Manoir: Walliser Seema (Vernissage) & Charlotte Parfois

Walliser Seema is a pan-Valaisan musical project that brilliantly unifies the Upper and Lower Valais by breaking free from cantonal cultural and linguistic borders, but also international ones. For this evening, we’ll be embarking on their brand new EP “Episode II: Human Machine”, the follow-up to the EP Episode I: Elements, released in 2020. For this Vernissage, they will be accompanied by the fabulous Charlotte Parfois.

Walliser Seema:
Walliser Seema, or Marin Valaisan in French in the text, is a daring, impenetrable and unpredictable trio piloted by Captain Jean-Marc Briand, a songwriter from Albinen, along with his faithful shipmates Ivan Jeitziner, a bassophonist from Visp-North, Xavier Moillen, a multi-instrumentalist from Sierre and Fabrice Vernay, a percussionist from Massongex.

Charlotte Parfois:
Charlotte Parfois is a farting cushion stuck in the cogs of the French song, it’s a past scratchy hair, which we are still a little wary of. Charlotte sometimes is neither rock, nor French song, nor variety, nor even music, in fact, it’s a bit of everything at the same time. One can wonder if these guys are conscious of what they propose, or if they are definitely clumsy, if their schizophrenia is maintained or fought, but in the end it doesn’t matter… It remains their songs which comfort, shake, touch or annoy.
