Cellules poétiques is a multi-faceted festival. The events on offer give pride of place to words, but also to the silences, movements, images and sounds that accompany them.
Two writer-poets and a young Valais publishing house
In 2022, Chester Civelli founded Éditions des Fleurs, based in Sierre. This publishing house devoted exclusively to poetry already has 12 publications and counting. Among them, Bernard Granges’ latest collection, Patience du Givre.
Writer, musician and editor Chester Civelli presents his latest collection, written with the vigor of spring 2022, and in reaction to yet another war launched by Putin’s Russia. Les Primevères contrasts the energies of spring with the exactions committed around the world.
Martigny-born Bernard Granges has published several collections on his own: Annonce, écho, Fuite des visages, Travail de la nuit and Les luttes du silence. In November 2023, Patience du givre was published by Éditions des Fleurs. It’s also about energies, but here it’s about questioning their withdrawal, suggested by brief poems, touches to mark the coming of the cold and the inner rise of solitude.
Actor Daniele Pintaudi will lend his voice to the writings of Chester Civelli and Bernard Granges, who will also be on hand to present their work and meet readers.
