In this vibrant, deeply evocative musical journey, Lionel Monnet brings Piazzolla’s tango nuevo into dialogue with other major voices from the Hispanic and Argentine repertoire, including Isaac Albéniz, Carlos Guastavino and Richard Galliano.

Between passion, nostalgia, urban rhythms and inner poetry, this concert offers a sensitive immersion in a universe where tango becomes a true language of the soul.

The program will feature emblematic works such as Milonga del Angel, Oblivion, La Muerte del Angel, Adios Nonino and Vuelvo al Sur, alongside more intimate, luminous pieces such as Ave Maria, Extasis and Romantico idilio. Pages by Carlos Guastavino, imbued with popular delicacy and Argentine landscapes, will also illuminate this evening, as will Richard Galliano’s famous Tango pour Claude.

With his deeply personal, free and expressive approach, Lionel Monnet offers much more than just a concert: an intense, inhabited musical journey between Buenos Aires, memory, dance and emotion – a journey in which each piece becomes an inner landscape, carried by the vibrant breath of tango and the luminous nostalgia of Argentina.
