Nature, traditions and panoramic views over Martigny
Head up into the hills and discover the natural treasures of the Col des Planches on a hike led by a passionate guide.
Over the course of a roughly 5 km loop, we’ll take the time to observe and gain a deeper understanding of the natural and human riches that shape these high-altitude landscapes.
With the changing seasons, the mountains transform and reveal new facets. Alpine flowers, mountain wildlife, life on the mountain pastures, local traditions, the flamboyant colours of the larch trees or interpreting the landscape: every outing is unique and adapts to the wonders of the moment.
Halfway along the route, the summit of La Crevasse offers an exceptional panorama of the Catogne, the Combins massif, the Pierre Avoi and the surrounding peaks. In this idyllic setting, we’ll share a picnic whilst taking full advantage of the scenery before continuing the hike.
A friendly outing suitable for all, ideal for observing, learning and marvelling at the rhythm of the mountains and the seasons.

- Starting point: Col des Planches (carpooling available from Martigny) – Free on-site parking
- Times: 9:00 am – 3:30 pm (can be adjusted on request)

- *Walking time: approx. 2.5 hours and approx. 3.5 hours with snowshoes in winter
