For its eighth season, LE ROSEGORGE has chosen to sing about those moments when love makes us lose our balance and takes us beyond ourselves (French chanson).
Piaf sang it: “You make my head spin! I’m always ready to celebrate when you hold me in your arms.”
Falling in love literally means losing your balance … and artists love that! The dizzying feeling of being in love is one of the rare moments when human beings willingly allow themselves to be moved beyond who they are – and songs love to tell the stories of those moments when we are no longer quite ourselves … but not yet someone else. The poets of French chanson each express it in their own way, and for its eighth season LE ROSEGORGE is delighted to bring these stories to you … “I hear the fanfares of the celebration … and the earth has nothing to do with it!”
