On the edge of Mont Blanc VF

On the edge of Mont Blanc

One of the objectives of the Interdisciplinary Mountain Research Centre is to disseminate the results of its research to the mountain populations. This is why the CIRM is reaching out to the public by organising a series of conferences entitled “Mountain and Society” in various locations in the Vaud and Valais Alps.

Two authors of the book Lignes de crêtes, Daniel Maggetti and Jonathan Bussard, will take you to the Trient Glacier region, following in the footsteps of writers of the past and present – Roger Frison-Roche, Eugène Viollet-le-Duc, Jérôme Meizoz, André Guex, Rodolphe Töpffer and others – whose singular viewpoint provides an original interpretation of the landscape.
On the programme: a beautiful hike to Champex-Lac punctuated by the reading of texts by authors and explanations of the specific geomorphological features of the region.

Accompanying persons : Daniel Maggetti for the literary part and Jonathan Bussard for the geomorphological part.
