For its summer exhibition, the Louis Moret Foundation opens its spaces to the artist Jean-Michel Jaquet from La Chaux-de-Fonds. An invitation to discover the richness of drawing and its expressions through thirty works on paper (Indian ink, charcoal, oil) tracing the artist’s career between 1990 and 2019.
Born in 1950 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Jean-Michel Jaquet studied at the School of Decorative Arts in Geneva (1968-1971) before devoting himself essentially to drawing.
In addition to his artistic activity, he also writes, sometimes in the form of aphorisms and studio notes that mark out and nourish his creative process. For more than 50 years, he has gained a faithful and passionate public, by exhibiting in galleries and museums in Switzerland and abroad, notably in Germany. His work has been rewarded with prizes and prestigious distinctions. His work is included in numerous public and private collections.
