Théâtre Alambic – “Seule dans ma peau d’âne”

Estelle Savasta's Molière-nominated Seule dans ma peau d'âne is a free adaptation of Perrault's fairy tale Peau d'Âne.

“First there was a king, a queen, love and soon a child. But history says that no happiness is perfect. One day, the queen died. His advisors demanded that the king remarry and, falling in love with a portrait, he asked his daughter to marry him. After trying in vain to escape her father by challenging him four times, the infanta has no choice but to flee, hidden under a donkey skin.”

It’s the story of a girl who learns to say “I”, of a girl who grows up and tries to find her own way to keep straight in her socks. It’s a luminous story without a prince. Directed by Sophie Gardaz and Michel Toman, the show features song and dance in magnificent language.
