Exhibition of Mrs Lucie Moulin "Poussières d'enclume" (sculptures), from March 09 to April 28, 2023
“Born in 1960… A little more than 60 years, that’s a lot of discoveries, encounters, emotions, revolts, friendship, love, experience and memories that bubble and simmer. Inevitably, from time to time, a bubble forms, rises to the surface, bursts, and an idea emerges. Then it’s time to forge!
It’s a physical activity, a complete sport that requires strength and dexterity, concentration and perseverance. Before melting, the heated iron becomes soft and can be stretched, twisted and kneaded like clay. But at nearly 1000°C, which makes the work a little more complicated. It is sometimes a fight, where we torture the material, with heavy arms, for hours. And then, finally, like an evidence, the form, the movement, the emotion imagined are there. It is finished.
It’s time to put down the hammer, make some welds, find a title and share the emotion.” Text by Lucie Moulin.
