Fools

Does laughter still have a place in our society?

On an empty or almost empty stage, his last refuge, a strange man invites you to listen to him. Half trash, half scholar, dragging his theater maid as the last light when there is nothing left, he wants to understand: why are we all so serious?

Summoning the spirit of the theater, Fools! questions our poor humanity by exploring the laughter, both light-hearted and sad, of the clowns of the Shakespearean universe. Drawing on this rich material, Murielle Tenger portrays with intensity a character who, through time and Shakespeare’s verve, speaks to us about ourselves and our own folly.

A tender and ferocious one-woman show, for a first daring personal creation.
