Discover Anne-Laure Gausseron's exhibition, from Saturday October 19 to November 10, 2024 at Espace Saint-Michel.
Born in Chartres in 1974, Anne-Laure Gausseron has lived in Switzerland for the past fifteen years. A consecrated laywoman with the Grand-Saint-Bernard religious congregation, she is involved in various community missions, notably with refugees in the Martigny region.
In parallel with these hospitality activities, and nourished by the rhythm of religious life, Anne-Laure discovers in painting a new way of expressing her journey towards God.
Psalms, biblical sayings, readings: her inspiration unfolds as her inner prayer unfolds. Surrounded from childhood by her father’s paintings and Gabriel Loire’s stained-glass windows, Anne-Laure began drawing on her own.
In 2023, she decided to unveil her work by wallpapering the walls of a friend’s hospital room. Every day for months on end, she sat on the floor and painted alongside him. This experience gave rise to the idea of exhibiting her work more widely.
