Parallel to the main exhibition of “Himalayan
masks”, the St. Bernard Dog Museum is pleased to present, from February 5th
until the end of September 2010, some very special and unique masks from
various parts of Switzerland, mainly from alpine regions. These masks, while
very different depending on their place of origin, are all closely linked to
the Carnival. But the most astonishing fact is their resemblance to the masks
from the Himalayas. Come and discover the
selection of Swiss masks, both scary and beautiful, in the newly converted
basement of the Museum.
